New Art Foundation of Vancouver Presents Successful Inaugural Charity Art Gala in Partnership with Vancouver Chamber Music Society.

NAFVan is thrilled to introduce its new non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting multidisciplinary, artistic innovation in Vancouver and supporting creative individuals of all backgrounds, including artists, community members, and industry professionals from all fields. On February 11th, 2023, the New Art Foundation of Vancouver partnered with the Vancouver Chamber Music Society to hold its first inaugural charity art gala at the beautiful VanDusen Botanical Gardens. The event was a tremendous success, with the Vancouver Chamber Music Society playing world-class classical music, while guests admired the over 40 artworks from 19 talented artists.

The event featured artwork from four local and international galleries, each showcasing a variety of pieces in different styles and mediums, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media works. Many beautiful pieces of art were sold at the gala, including Migration by Parvaneh Roudgar, which sold for $7,800, and Struggle by Li Xuan, which sold for $11,000. Other sold items included Moon Cycle Delta by Bill Noy, Yellow Raincoat by Lenthey, Abstract by Van Chien, Dangolin by Victoria Mitchell, and Strangers in the night by Christine McKee. In total, the event raised $25,913 in auction sales, with $5,075 of these proceeds donated to charity, and the remaining sum will be used to support participating artists.
